Well, many years after Super System, Doyle did it again, offering a book with his recognisable name on the title and top class contributors to it. It is a book worth studying for anyone interested in learning to play various forms of poker and seeing how some top pros think about the game I won't give it five stars only because I think the weakest section (not poor or bad, just not as good as other sections or as expected) of the book is actually Doyle's contribution about No Limit Holden, not actually bringing anything new to the world of No Limit Holdem... And our reviews here have to be objective, while our admiration to the grandfather of today's poker revolution is unlimited.

While many elements of Doyle's approach are considered "outdated", others remain fundamental concepts of how to play the game - particularly no-limit hold 'em. Even for the modern player, reading Brunson's thoughts on the game is crucial, because even if it's not how you personally play, it's a mode of play that every top player understands. Any one who wants to elevate their understanding of the game and its history should read this book.

In summary, a good book. A little dated, but covers all the basics. It’s a big book, (in size. - like a dictionary). Covers all types of poker. It’s been reviewed as the Bible of poker books, I believe that it definetly belongs in your library of poker reference materials. If you can, buy it used, like I did
